and to be honest, it kinda sucked!! lol  Hurricane Bill was on track to hit us today…but really wasn’t much of a storm (which I know is a good thing really) but man, I was hoping for a bit more ooommmph to it, you know?? There’s still gusts of really high winds, and I will say, the ocean is amazing at the moment! Of course I didn’t think to take my camera with me, but Crystal and I followed Kevin around Western Head and I know he got some good ones of the surf!   The road between the ocean and Victoria lake out Western Head is pretty much GONE tho!  omg! I just saw some pics on facebook and half the road has been washed away!

Had some good news a few days ago…wont get into what just yet, but sufficed to say – I think the girls and I just may be settled into our new mini home before Christmas!!!  Keep your fingers crossed that there will indeed be enough money to make this happen, ok????  I *NEED* this more then you all know!

and well, that’s all for now.  I’ve had some other shit going on in my life,  stuff that’s made things rather quiet around here, but I’m hoping that will all be cleared up soon too.  I hope.  I’ve had enough shit and sadness lately! Time for some good stuff, okies?? :)

it’s been a long day…Kyle’s funeral was this morning…it was very small, and very quick and it went as well as could be expected.  Vicki and Jr held up amazingly well all things considered and have now gone away for a week or two to get some peace and quiet.

I got home long enough to make sure the house was as clean as could be (because well, the days of having a nice tidy house are pretty much over again lol), took care of the dogs and headed out of the house around 1pm.  Stopped at Superstore for a min to see Susan then ran to get a coffee and some lunch to eat on the way…was on the highway at 1:30pm.  Pulled into Truro to find Pam and the kids waiting – I think this was around 3:45pm (yea, I made really good time) – we loaded up my car with the girl’s stuff, went and had a quick bite to eat and at about 4:20pm’ish we were back on the road…pulling in the driveway at 7:01pm!!!  Megan wasn’t home 15 mins and has already been invited to Cheyenne’s house for a sleepover LOL Her friends missed her apparently :)

and I wish I could say it was because of fun and wonderful things, but unfortunately it isn’t.  Monday afternoon I heard news that no one ever wants to hear, horrific truth be told.  One of my closest and dearest friends and her husband lost thier 16 year old son.  A young man that I have known since the day he was born. Changed his diapers a time or two, feed cheesies to while he played in his high chair. Watched grow up into an amazing and talented muscian.  And sadly – depression also took over his life – and what makes me the most angry about all of this – bullying.  By young people now claiming to be his friend. He died by his own hand and my heart hurts tremendously for Vicki and Harvey his parents, and also his older brother Matthew and older sister Samantha.  I want so desperately to take their pain and overwhelming grief away.  Please keep them in your hearts and prayers for healing in the coming days, weeks and months. They are all going to need them.   Rest in Peace Kyle…I know that you are in a better place and I hope that you have found the happiness you seeked.

On a happier note…the girls are coming home tomorrow!!!  They have been gone exactly 1 month today!  To be honest, even tho I have greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet here over those 4 weeks, the house staying clean etc…after what has happened I can’t wait to give them each a great big hug :)

and hey – they’ll be back in school in a month :)
